The West Hancock softball team displayed various levels of offense in a three-game week.

The Eagles lost three times this week against rival Garner-Hayfield-Ventura on June 18 on the road 11-4, West Bend-Mallard 19-13 on the road on Thursday and to Belomnd-Klemme in Belmond 11-5 on Friday.

The team started out flat against the Cardinals

The offense would eventually pick up nine hits, but only scored twice in the first half of the game.

Coach Ethan Weiss expressed his disappointment with how the game unfolded.

“I think the girls would have agreed [they didn’t do their best to start,]”

Thursday the girls showed a more consistent offensive production.

Eight of the players had a hit and all nine starters made it onto base once.
