West Hancock boys basketball left the year 2019 with a pair of wins, they came into 2020 with two more wins to make it four-in-a-row.

The Eagles took on Newman Catholic on Friday and Manson-NW Webster on Saturday, both in Britt.

They’d wrestle control of the ball game in both affairs and work their way to a 65-48 and a 64-32 victory, respectively.

Both games were a case of wearing down the opposition.

“I think the pressure got to them,” coach Brian Peterson said about the Newman game.

The Eagles took advantage of the Knights 26 turnovers created by defensive press.

Chase Kronemann’s 17 points, sinking four from three-point range, was a key factor to putting the Eagles in a position to take the lead.
