West Hancock Boys golf slips by with a win

The West Hancock boys golf club traveled to Armstrong to play Eagle Grove and host North Union on the Country Greens Golf Course.

The three teams kept it close in the nine-hole card, with only a 7 stroke difference between top and bottom scores.

The Eagles slipped out the victory against the two teams with a 199 score.

It was only three strokes better than North Union at 202; Eagle Grove held close by with 206 strokes.

Keifer Carlson and Ian Gobeli put on a great outing, contending for the medalist and runner-up accolades throughout the meet.

They didn’t place in the triangular, but Carlson’s 45 and Gobeli’s 46 were mere strokes from the two golfers who posted 44.
