West Hancock baseball competes in close matchups

 

            West Hancock Baseball started out with a tough loss against rival Garner-Hayfield-Ventura on June 18, losing 11-5.

            The Eagles would bounce back splitting two close games, each decided by a single run.

            Thursday, West Hancock conquered West Bend-Mallard on the road, 6-5.

            Friday, the Eagles couldn’t get the job finished against Belmond-Klemme, losing 4-5.

            Against the Cardinals, the team kept pace with the rival for four innings.

            Scoring three runs in the fourth the team was only down one score.

            For the rest of the game, however, the Eagles could not manage anymore runs.

            Four players had two hits, the team totaled nine total.
