CORWITH– Wednesday, Oct. 2 was the day for the Healthiest State Annual Walk put together by Gov. Kim Reynold’s “Healthiest State Initiative”.

981 walks were registered, according to the Healthiest State Initiative, a few of them featured some special guests.

Corwith welcomed Lt. Gov. Adam Gregg to be a part of their walk starting at the Iowa State Bank in town.

Arriving from a visit to Harding Elementary School in Mason City, Gregg briefly addressed the small group crowded in the bank.

He told the group of walkers that Reynolds made the proclamation that October 2019 was to be known as the “Healthiest State Month.”

And despite the rain falling down, the Lt. Gov. and the group of walkers put on their rain gear and walked around the town.

The visit to Corwith on Wednesday was part of Reynold’s and Gregg’s efforts to visit all 99 counties throughout the year.
