Garner Chamber welcomes Iowa Specialty Hospital Garner Clinic

GARNER – The Garner Chamber of Commerce welcomed Iowa Specialty Hospital’s Garner clinic to the community with a ribbon-cutting event on Wednesday, Aug. 21.The Garner clinic, located at 840 West, US Hwy. 18, is the newest clinic in the Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics network.

Construction of the 9,000 square foot clinic began in October of 2018. The public had their first look at the completed clinic at during an open house on Saturday, July 13. The first day the clinic was officially open for business on Monday, July 15.

Services include: counseling therapy, family medicine, obstetrics, women’s health, general surgery, occupational medicine, orthopedics, pediatrics, podiatry, psychiatric medication services, and weight management.

Dr. Renee Diamond, MD, is the primary care physician for the clinic, Dr. Dr. Diamond and family moved to Garner in 2018.

 “It's been wonderful,” said Dr. Diamond, who appreciated how welcoming the Garner community has been. “Lots of new faces.”

 “We’ve been in discussion with Garner for several years regarding bringing a clinic to the community,” said Steve Simonin, President & CEO of Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics. “It’s fantastic to finally be a here, and Garner has been nothing but welcoming. This makes the ninth location with our Iowa Specialty Hospital system, and we believe it’s a perfect fit for us and for Garner and the surrounding communities. We look forward to serving the area’s healthcare needs for many years to come.”
