Garner is “Sprucing Up” for Duesey Days

Garner is "spruced up" and ready for Duesey Days, July 12-13!

GARNER – Food, fun and entertainment galore are just a few of the reasons Garner is “sprucing up” for Duesey Days. The 39th annual celebration is July 12-13. Most activities will take place in Central Park.

Friday, July 12

Stage entertainment on Friday evening will include music by Just Listen Entertainment at 4 p.m. From 5-6 p.m., will be music by Luke Farland.

The third annual Corn Hole Tournament will begin at 5:30 p.m. It's not to late to sign up Sign-up is at 5 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.

A garden of little ladies will vie for the title of Little Miss Duesey at 6 p.m.  Little Miss Duesey is hosted by the Garner Wa-Tan-Ye Club.

An interview with 2019 parade grand marshals Earl and Linda Webner will take place during intermission.

At 7 p.m., hypnotist Levy the Great will entertain, followed by the 4th & Maben Band at 9 p.m.

Saturday, July 13

Duesy Days starts “bright ‘n early” with the 2 mile / 10K runs.

 “Sprucing up Garner” is the theme of the 2019 Duesey Days Parade at 10 a.m. Details and entry forms are available on line at Judging of parade entries will include Best Use of Theme.

Creative artwork from local residents will be on display at the Duesey D’Arts art show at the Garner Public Library from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The classic “Show & Shine” Duesey Days car show will run from 12 noon to 3 p.m.
