First of year business for Hancock County Supervisors

GARNER – Committee assignments and appointments to various boards for 2019 were on the agenda for the Hancock County Board of Supervisors, on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019.

Jerry Tlach will serve as board chairman for the year. Sis Greiman will be vice chairman.

Gary Rayhons is the new member on the Board of Supervisors. Rayhons was elected to the board in November.

Supervisors serve on numerous regional boards and committees during the year.

Sis Greiman will serve on North Iowa Vocational Center (NIVC) board, 
Elderbridge, 
North Iowa Area Community Action Organization (NIACAO), County Social Services Regional Agency (alternate), Iowa Workforce Development Board, the North Iowa Area Council of Governments (NIACOG), and as an alternate to the Resource Enhancement and Protection Agency (REAP).

Gary Rayhons will represent Hancock County on the Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center board, 
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), 
County Board of Health Advisory Board (alternate), Second Judicial District Department of Corrections (alternate), 
 the County Social Services Regional Agency, the Partners in Children board and the Empowerment Board.

Jerry Tlach will serve on the Advisory and Emergency Management Agency Board (EMA),
 Hancock County Board of Health, 
E911 Board, 
Second Judicial District Department of Corrections,
 County Economic Development Board (at-large representative), Hancock County Health Systems Board (liaison), Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center (alternate),
 North Central Regional Emergency Response Commission (HAZMAT), Transportation Policy Board, 
 and the Resource Enhancement and Protection Board (REAP).
