Evans Joins Leader, Tribune Staff

Luke Evans

Luke Evans is the new Marketing Consultant for The Leader and the Buffalo Center Tribune. He joined the Mid-America Publishing Company family on Oct. 29.

A graduate of Kingsley-Pearson High School, Evans attended Morningside College in Sioux City where he studied music and math. He moved to Garner in 2011. Luke was an employee of Casey’s General stores at Forest City and Garner for eight years.

“Hancock County is a dynamic place to do business. I welcome the opportunity to work with our advertising clients to help their businesses and our communities grow even more,” Evans said.

The son of Pastor Paul and Sandy Evans of Garner, it can be said that Luke is following in the footsteps of both parents. Sandy Evans is a former marketing representative for The Leader from 2011-2017. Paul Evans is the pastor of the United Methodist Church in Garner.

In addition to being a Mid-America Publishing marketing representative, Luke is pastor of the United Methodist Churches at Buffalo Center and Thompson.

“We are very excited to have Luke join our team here at The Leader,” said Ana Olsthoorn, publisher of The Leader. “He shows an excitement about The Leader as well as the specialty printing and services Mid-America Publishing can provide. We have some great plans for The Leader, and I expect Luke will be an integral part of that!”
