BRITT - Britt Public Library filled up on Thursday as the talented actor Duffy Hudson brought his one-man show as the legendary George Burns.

The crowd laughed and felt sorrow with Hudson’s recreation of Burns as he sang and joked his way for 75 minutes.

“It’s a lot of fun, George Burns is just a fun guy,” Hudson said.

Hudson grew up watching Burns on television and in movies.

Born in 1896, Burns was the one of the few stars to transition from vaudeville to radio, film and television, finishing his career in the 90s

“He was a huge star of our time, a grandfather kind of character, people just loved him,” Hudson said. “I feel how much they love him and that gets transferred on to me.”
