Dr. Renee Diamond named physician for new Iowa Special Hospital Clinic at Garner

GARNER – Renee Diamond, M.D., will be the primary care physician for the future Iowa Specialty Hospital clinic at Garner. The clinic is scheduled to open summer 2019.

Since 2014, Dr. Diamond has been a family physician for Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics at Clarion. She offers family practice services with emphasis on patient-centered, evidence-based, cost-conscious care. Currently, her practice includes clinic, deliveries, newborn care, and hospital rounds.

Her position at Garner will be full-spectrum outpatient family medicine, seeing patients of all ages. She is experienced in the care of expectant mothers, well and sick pediatric patients, and adult chronic disease management and annual wellness visits. 

 

Plans for the Garner clinic include primary care, counseling services, radiology and laboratory services. Specialty services will also be available starting with orthopedics and sports medicine, weight loss management, and occupational health and wellness.

 “We will expand our service lines as we learn the community needs,” said Dr. Diamond.

Ground-breaking is scheduled for October. Interior work will continue through the winter, with ribbon cutting anticipated next summer.

Dr. Diamond is currently scheduling appointments with new patients at Iowa Specialty Hospital’s Belmond location. Clinics at Belmond will be held on Aug. 23, Sept. 6, Sept. 20, Oct. 4, Oct. 18, Nov. 1, Nov. 29, Dec. 13 and Dec. 27. To make an appointment, call 641-444-3500.
