City Council narrows down candidates for administrator position

Britt City Council welcomed Pat Callahan to a special meeting on Feb. 20 at the Britt Municipal Building.

The council has received all the possible resumes before the meeting and were able to whittle down the field of candidates to three.

With such a low number of favored candidates, Callahan recommended that the council moves on to the final steps of the process.

Originally it was planned to narrow down the field to a broader number and conduct Skype interviews and then have formal interviews later.

“I think we can save you money and save me time by skipping the skype interviews,” Callahan said.

The schedule thus has been shifted up a week so that final interviews with the three candidates will be on March 10 instead of March 17.
