City of Britt honors veterans in celebration.

            BRITT - Monday the community members of Britt gathered in the West Hancock High School to observe Veteran’s Day.

            The school hosted the program, which was put together by the American Legion and VFW in Britt.

            Pastor Bob Dodge of United Methodist Church led the invocation and benediction.

            Bryce Baker and Dalton Subject, the Boys’ State Participants recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

            Lilliana Hill and Paige Kudej also read pieces aloud for the ceremony.

            The West Hancock High School Concert Band played the National Anthem and the “Marches of the Armed Forces”

            The elementary choir sang “You’re a Grand Old Flag” as part of the entertainment.

            Mayor Ryan Arndorfer was selected as the guest speaker for the event.

            Arndorfer spoke about the importance of not only the Veterans who gave their lives but the ones who are alive and had fought or are currently fighting for their country and constitution.
