Shell Anderson

Britt City Clerk/Administrator Shell Anderson put in her letter of resignation at the Britt City Council meeting on Oct. 3.

“I’ve learned a lot here, [I] got a lot of good experience,” Anderson said, paraphrasing her resignation letter, “but, ultimately I’d like to focus my attention on more of a finance/accounting career.”

Anderson has accepted an accounting position at IMT in Garner, her last day will be on Oct. 26.

The council joked that she’ll be lucky to get a motion, after a few moments of hesitation the council accepted the resignation.

“I want to thank Shell for everything [she’s] done,” Mayor Ryan Arndorfer said. “You’ve helped me to learn a lot in my first term as mayor.”

Arndorfer praised Anderson’s effort to getting community events up and starting events such as the Doggy Dip.

The council commended her on improving the social media presence of the city as well.
