A “Holiday Affair” is coming to Garner

GARNER – Garner merchants invite you to shop, eat, and celebrate the season on Thursday, Dec. 13 for the Chamber of Commerce annual “Holiday Affair!”

"We are excited to once again be able to celebrate Christmas with the community,” said Amber Jenniges, Chamber of Commerce director.

Recipe Hunt

The day begins with a recipe hunt at participating businesses from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Check the Garner Chamber of Commerce Facebook page for updates on businesses participating in the recipe hunt.

Santa will be at the Garner Public Library from 5-7 p.m.

“It's fun to see people out and about visiting all the businesses for some goodies during the recipe hunt throughout the day,” Jenniges said. “Santa is, of course, a big hit for the kids. He will be at the library as well as the cookie walk fundraiser. Folks will also be able to vote on their favorite decorated Christmas tree while they are there.”

Christmas tree contest

The Garner Public Library invites you to participate in a Christmas tree decorating contest.

Decorate a small Christmas tree (under 3 feet tall) and display it at the library.

Bring in trees Dec. 3-8. Voting will take place from Dec. 10-15.
